Better Gmail Search
The good news is that 2 labs features will greatly improve Gmail search: 'Search Autocomplete' and 'Go To Label'. If you have many labels, it's difficult to find one of your labels, especially if you added the label to the 'more' dropdown. 'Go To Label' adds a keyboard shortcut that lets you quickly open a label: type 'g l' and then type the first letters of the label you want to find.

Gmail integrated 'Go To Label' with the search box, so the keyboard shortcut only adds 'label:' to the search box. If you don't like keyboard shortcuts, just type 'label:' in the search box, followed by the first letters of a label.
The autocomplete feature is not useful only when you want to open a label you've created. You can also use it for built-in labels like 'unread', 'starred', 'chat', 'buzz', 'muted'. Type the first letters of the word 'unread' and you should find a quick link that shows all your unread messages.

If you use Gmail's advanced search operators, the autocomplete feature shows common values for the operators. Type the 'is' operator and Gmail shows a list of built-in labels.

Gmail's search box lets you restrict the results to messages that have attachments or to messages that include a certain type of attachment. Type 'has' and you'll see a list of options that show messages with photo attachments, documents, videos or calendar events. You can also type natural language queries like: 'photos', 'documents', 'attachments'.

The search box is now the quickest way to find messages from one of your contacts: type the name of a contact or only the first letters from the name and you can read all the conversation with that person. If you want to restrict the results to the messages received from a contact, type 'from:' before entering the name.

The other 4 graduated features have a more limited use:
* 'Attachment Detector' shows a warning when you use words like 'attached', 'attachment' in a message without actually attaching a file.

* 'YouTube Previews' lets you watch inside Gmail the YouTube videos linked from a message.
* 'Custom Label Colors' is useful if you have many labels and the 24 color combinations offered by Gmail aren't enough.
* 'Vacation Dates' improves Gmail's vacation responder by adding the option to enter the first day and the last day of your vacation.
The Startup Visa: Create Jobs, Get A Green Card
A bill introduced today in the Senate by Democrat John Kerry and Republican Richard Lugar proposes a new type of visa for immigrants who create startups and jobs in the U.S. A similar proposal is part of an immigration reform bill in the House. The Startup Visa has been controversial and will no doubt draw fire from anti-immigrant forces and xenophobes. But if we are going to be giving away visas, giving them to people who will help build the U.S. economy and create jobs is hard to argue against.
The Startup Visa Act of 2010 would create a two year visa for immigrant entrepreneurs who are able to raise a minimum of $250,000, with $100,000 coming from a qualified U.S. angel or venture investor. After two years, if the immigrant entrepreneur is able to create five or more jobs (not including their children or spouse), attract an additional $1 million in investment, or produce $1 million in revenues, he or she will become a legal resident.
The bill would carve out a new "EB-6″ class of visas from the existing "EB-5″ class of visas which has a higher threshold for becoming a legal resident. So it's not really that radical. The EB-5 requires immigrants to invest at least $1 million in the U.S. and employ ten people.
The Startup Visa sends the right message to prospective immigrants: create jobs, get a green card. A group of 160 venture capitalists and angel investors support the bill, including Paul Graham, Brad Feld, Fred Wilson, Dave McClure, Ron Conway, Mike Maples, Reid Hoffman, Chris Sacca, Jeff Clavier, Bijan Sabet, Josh Kopelman, and Chris Dixon. If you agree that the Startup Visa is a good idea, you can find ways to support it here and here

CODEORGAN
FIRSTLY, THE CODEORGAN SCANS THE PAGE CONTENTS AND REMOVES ALL
CHARACTERS NOT FOUND IN THE MUSICAL SCALE (A TO G), AND THEN ANALYSES THE REMAINING CHARACTERS TO FIND THE MOST COMMONLY USED 'NOTE'. IF THIS IS AN EVEN NUMBER THE PAGE IS TRANSLATED IN TO THE MAJOR PENTATONIC SCALE OF THAT PARTICULAR NOTE, IT BECOMES MINOR IF THERE IS AN UNEVEN NUMBER.
SECONDLY, THE CODEORGAN DEFINES WHICH SYNTHESIZER TO USE. THIS IS
BASED UPON THE TOTAL NUMBER CHARACTERS USED ON THE WEBPAGE – THERE ARE CURRENTLY 10 SYNTHESIZER EFFECTS AND THE ONE CHOSEN IS PICKED BASED UPON THE PERCENTAGE OF CONTENT.
LASTLY, THE CODEORGAN SELECTS A DRUM LOOP BASED UPON THE RATIO OF CHARACTERS ON THE PAGE VERSUS THE NUMBER OF CHARACTERS THAT ARE ACTUALLY MUSICAL NOTES – THERE ARE CURRENTLY 10 DIFFERENT DRUM LOOPS TO PICK FROM.

How to Delete a Dll File
- Step 1Click the 'Start' button in Window,s and select 'Search' from the Start Menu.
- Step 2Click the 'All files and folders' link in the Search window, and type the name of the .dll file you want to delete into the empty field. Click the 'Search' button to begin the search.
- Step 3Locate the file in the search results and take note of the file path, which indicates where the file is stored. This is very important, because you will need to know the file path for the last steps, so you may want to write it down. Typically, .dll files will be found in 'C:\Windows\System32,' but this can vary depending on the specific type of .dll file and the version of Windows you're using.
- Step 4Right-click on the .dll file in the search results, and select 'Delete' from the options that pop up. This will move the file to the Recycle Bin.
- Step 5Click the 'Start' button in Windows, and select 'Run' from the Start Menu. Type 'cmd' into the empty field, and click the 'Run' button.
- Step 6Type 'regsvr32 /u C:\filepath\filename.dll' into the command line, substituting the specific file path and name of the file for 'filepath' and 'filename,' respectively. For example, if you wanted to delete the file 'windows.dll' from the file path 'C:\Windows\System32,' you would type 'regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\System32\windows.dll.' Press 'Enter' after typing this line to unregister the .dll file from your system, completing the process.

5 more Buzz tips: post by email, follow the Buzz team, and more
1. Post by email. You can post buzz by emailing buzz@gmail.com — super handy for posting photos you take on your phone. Photos that you attach to your email will appear along with the subject line of your message. You can choose who can see posts you email into Buzz from the connected sites menu (click 'Buzz,' then 'Connected Sites').

2. Prevent your boring chat status messages from being posted to Buzz. By default, your chat status messages are posted to Buzz and shared with your chat contacts. Don't want a boring message like 'be right back' to turn into a Buzz post? Just put parentheses around it. If you don't want any of your chat status messages to get posted, you can always disconnect chat from the connected sites menu.

3. Look for the yellow line to see what's new. Can't figure out what's new on the Buzz tab? Posts and comments new since your last visit have a light yellow line along the left hand edge (if you're using a different theme the color may vary).

4. Link to a post. Each Buzz post has a permalink, so you can link to it. Click the down-arrow in the upper right-hand corner of a post, and select 'Link to this post.' Of course, you'lll only be able to see the posts you have access to.

5. Follow the Buzz team in Google Buzz. Visit buzz.google.com/googlebuzz and click 'Follow Google Buzz' to get updates about what we're working on and send us your feedback.
